Homeschool Familes

Western Enrichment Learning Lab supports homeschool families in the important task of educating their children through bespoke fieldwork experiences and workshops.

FIELDWORK

Whether it be in your local area or further afield, we can design and deliver fieldwork excursions in a range of subject areas that meet your child's interests and learning needs as well as aligning with the NESA curriculum. All fieldwork is facilitated by an experienced school teacher. Maximum 16 students. We use the following process to create these experiences:

1. Contact us to discuss what you are seeking for your child.

2. We draft an outline of the potential fieldwork program, which you share with other homeschool families in your networks to gauge interest.

3. Interested families submit an EOI to be involved.

4. When EOIs have been received for the minimum number of students, the program is refined, publicised and bookings taken.

5. You, your child and other homeschool families participate in an engaging fieldwork learning experience that inspires curiosity and encourages further learning at home.

Pricing is dependent on the location, nature of the fieldwork and the number of students and parents participating.

ROBOTICS AND STEM WORKSHOPS

Would you like to host a full day (6 hour) robotics or STEM workshop? Workshops can be held in your home or another venue organised by you and are facilitated by an experienced school teacher. Maximum of 20 students per workshop.

All equipment is provided:

- LEGO Spike Essential & LEGO BrikQ Motion Essential Kits

- LEGO Spike Prime & LEGO BrikQ Motion Prime Kits

- Chromebooks

Students create design solutions for KLA-based problems by building robots and coding using Scratch compatible software. In the STEM workshops they plan and conduct investigations to understand forces, motion and mass. Design solutions are tested through building and experimentation. The specific topics and activities are tailored to your requirements.

Pricing is based on the number of students participating:

- up to 10 students $770

- each additional student $55.

Venues located more than 100km from Bathurst will also incur a fee based on the distance travelled.
